Protein Chocolate Brownies

Rich chocolate brownies that are high in protein, gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free, built on almond flour and protein powder. The perfect sweet treat alongside your coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (I use mung bean protein powder)
  • 1/4 cup silan (date syrup) or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tablespoon aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1/2 cup almond/peanut/cashew butter
  • 1/2 cup milk, added gradually (I used soy milk)
  • A handful of chocolate chips
  • A few walnuts (optional)
  • Coconut for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. 2Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and transfer to a baking pan. You can add a few walnuts to help absorb the protein and garnish with coconut.
  3. 3Bake for about 20 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
