Vegan Flaxseed and Almond Flour Bread

A healthy vegan bread that is gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free, very high in protein and seasoned with za'atar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground flaxseeds
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 3 tablespoons psyllium (the bread cannot be made without it)
  • 1 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Za'atar
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. 1Mix together the ground flaxseeds, almond flour, psyllium, baking powder, salt, pepper and za'atar.
  2. 2Start with 1 cup of water and add more as needed, until you get a uniform, almost non-sticky dough.
  3. 3Let the dough rest for 10 minutes to set.
  4. 4Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
  5. 5Once the dough has set, place it in a baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes at 150°C (300°F).
